Dungeons are player-vs-environment private instances which are balanced for groups of five characters. They are similar to Skirmishes, but usually longer, involving exploring some kind of structure and facing several bosses.
To enter a dungeon you must use the queue system. Dungeons and Advanced Dungeons require 5 players; however, using the Private tab in the queue system, you can queue with up to 5 players. All dungeons have an Item Level requirement which range from 25,000 to 45,000. Dungeons require 1 Tank, 1 Healer, and 3 DPS characters to queue if you join a public queue. Private queues remove the role requirements and reduce the minimum Item Level by 5,000.

Dragon Tiers
Dragon Hunts come in three tiers: Baby Dragons, Adult Dragons, and Ancient Dragons.
Baby Dragons are unlocked upon completing the first quest in the Dragonslayer Campaign, and must be completed by a single player.
Upon defeating two Baby Dragons, the character unlocks Adult Dragons. Adult Dragons are more challenging than their Baby counterpart, featuring additional attacks and higher damage and health. Parties of up to three players can queue for Adult Dragons.
Upon reaching Rank 15 in the Dragonslayer campaign (obtained by defeating 15 Baby and Adult Dragons in total), the character unlocks Ancient Dragons. Ancient Dragons are the most challenging dragons, and feature significantly more attacks, higher damage, and higher health than Adult Dragons. Parties of up to five players can queue for Ancient Dragons, and the recommended party makeup is 1 Tank, 1 Healer, and 3 DPS.
Dragon Colors
Dragons come in five different colors, one of which is selected randomly upon each instance creation. The five colors are: Black Dragons, Blue Dragons, Green Dragons, Red Dragons, and White Dragons. Each dragon features a distinct set of attacks, with some overlap, as well as a distinct elemental damage type.
Hunt Modifiers
Players have the option to increase the difficulty of a Dragon Hunt by adding Hunt Modifiers, often called Mods, in the starting area. When Hunt Modifiers are used, players receive additional rewards upon completion of the Hunt. Up to 3 Modifiers can be used on a single Ancient Dragons, and it is recommended that players only use Modifiers at Rank 3 which guarantees rewards. Hunt Modifiers have 4 tiers: Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme.
Hunt Rewards and Gear
The primary goal for running Dragon Hunts is to be able to buy the associated gear from the Dragonslayer Campaign Store. The gear can be purchased with the many drops received from Dragon Hunts: [Dragon's Scales], [Dragon's Claws], [Dragon's Horn], [Dragon's Ridges], [Dragon's Wing Webbing], [Dragon's Finger Bones], and [Dragon's Hardened Plate].
The obtainable gear can be found on the Dragonbone Vale Collection Page.

The Reaper's Challenge
The Reaper's Challenge is a special player-vs-environment private instance which alternates between all the Dungeons, Advanced Dungeons, or Skirmishes. Every day, a different one is selected to feature as the Challenge for the day. This Challenge is similar to the normal Dungeon or Skirmish, but with a few big differences. First, the enemies in the Dungeon or Skirmish are more difficult as players are not scaled. Second, the character must be 50,000 Item Level to be able to queue for a Reaper's Challenge. Third, there are three special Challenge Conditions which vary based on the day, but are always taken from the following list (WIP):
No artifact powers
No mount combat powers
Constant DoT
No consumables
Increased encounter cooldowns
No health regeneration
Players that complete the daily Reaper's Challenge will get one [The Reaper's Mark], a special currency that can be traded for high-quality rewards in Protector's Enclave. Players can only receive one of the Marks each day per account.
